Tinker Bell
1975 to 2010
We are sad to say that our great, majestic bison bull passed away of old age at 35.
Tinker was born in North Dakota and became a Champion Bull in the North Dakota Bison Association. He was purchased in 1986 by Ron Thiel and became the breeding bull for Terry Bison Ranch. Tinker has been seen by thousands of visitors from all over the world on our tours. Visitors marveled at his magnificent size of 2300lbs. Countless photos have been taken of him. In his 31 years of breeding, it is estimated that he produced about 1200 calves. Tinker had a good life for a bison bull. He will be missed tremendously from all of the returning guests who have seen him over the years and by all the staff who took care of him every day. He will never be replaced for the "Grand Daddy Bull" that he was.
Rest in Peace
Tinker is buried in the bison pasture where he once roamed. A memorial is in the process of being made and will be erected at his burial site in honor of him. This location can be viewed on the train tour.
